GIA signs deal with Lloyd McGill Pte Ltd to commence ISO 9001 Accreditation.

Scheduled to start in the end of the year, GIA will begin the journey to become ISO9001 certified. GIA will begin its internal preparation and hopes to get auditing done by early 2012.

The ISO9001 will help GIA better position the company as a reliable vendor for inert gas systems and pressure vacuum valves for ship-managements, Shipyards and EPCs. It will also help strengten the company as a trusted service repair center and agent for many marine equipment makers under its wing.

Kangrim Heavy Industries Co. Ltd, the leading Korean Maker of Marine Inert Gas Systems and Generators, appointments GIA as their Singapore Service Center for their IG systems.

Kangrim has been producing and supplying its own inert gas systems (flue Gas) and inert gas generators since early 2003 and have almost a 1000 vessels using their systems in the few short years. The growing demand for their systems makes it necessary for them to expand their service networks beyond Korea.

Goh IGS & Automation Pte Ltd (GIA), a Singapore based engineering company founded in 2001, has been servicing other brands of IG system, with the Kvaerner/ MOSS IG systems as the main brand. GIA experience in the MOSS systems makes them a strong and well-equipped vendor to service vessels with the Kangrim IG Systems.

“We are honored for this official appointment,” says Mr Goh, Technical Director at GIA, “we believe our experiences for the last 10 years will come very useful for ship-managements with the Kangrim IG Generators.”
